2011 Rates & Policies

At Hunt's Lodge, we offer premium services at economy prices.  We have approximately 45 campsites and 5 sleeping cabins available.

Tent Camping Rates

All campsites have drinking water close by.  Reservations are not required for camping, although you can make them if you like.  Campers that are towed behind a motorcycle or small enclosed trailers will be considered tents.

Camp Site, 1 person - $12.00 + tax
Camp Site, 1 couple - $18.00 + tax

End of season special - $5.00 per person (+tax... sorry guys!)

RV's

We do not have any hook-ups for RV's, but you may dry-camp if you wish.  There is a KOA close-by that will allow you to dump your tanks for a small fee.  The rate for RV dry camping is based on occupancy and runs the same as a camp site.

Cottage Rates

Sleeping Cottage, 1 person - $45.00 + tax
Sleeping Cottage, 2 people - $55.00 + tax
Sleeping Cottage, 3 people - $65.00 + tax

We have one cabin with a full sized bed that sleeps two adults and a twin bunk for one more.  The other four cabins all have two twin beds and one twin bunk.

Bed linens and towels are provided, along with heat and air conditioning, private safes, gear closets, and boot and glove dryers for 2 people.  Extra towels can be requested at the office.

People who would like to stay in a cottage will need to make reservations in order to guarantee that one is available.   Please specify which sleeping arrangements you would prefer when making your reservation.

End of Season Special - Bring your own bedding and knock $20.00 off the nightly rate!
1 person - $25.00
2 people - $35.00
3 people - $45.00

It should be noted that the cabins that are offered at these rates have the same amenities as the regularly priced cabins, but they DO NOT have bed linens and towels.

We offer gift certificates in amounts up to $100.00. They may be purchased no more than 60 days in advance of the intended gift date, and will be good for a year from that date.  If you get a gift certificate for somebody for Christmas, it will be good until the following Christmas, or birthday, or any other such event.

We support our troops

As a way of showing our appreciation for those who serve in the military, we are pleased to offer discounts to active duty service members on leave.  Active duty service members who provide their leave papers will receive unlimited free tent camping.  Service members staying in a cabin will receive their first night free (minimum of 2 night stay required), or 50% off if only staying one night.  Thank you all so much for what you do for our country.

Check-in/Check-out Times

We do not keep regular office hours, but we are never more than a phone call away.  There is phone next to the ice machine that you can call us on to save your cell phone time.

Guests will be able to check in or out at any time through drop boxes and prior arrangements.  There is no specific check out time for tent campers.  Cabin check-out time is noon, but we just ask that you have your personal belongings cleared out of the cabin by noon.  If you have somewhere else to stash your stuff (example: truck or trailer), you are welcome to leave it at the camp while you get in one last ride.

Riders who are wising to have witnesses for their Iron Butt attempts should contact us ahead of time to let us know about when to expect you so we can be sure to be on hand for you.

Cell Phone Coverage

It should be noted that most cell phone providers cannot be picked up at the Lodge.  Verizon and US Cellular seem to be the most reliable.  AT&T is getting better, but still a wee bit spotty.  If you need to leave an emergency contact number with someone at home, you can leave them our number at 423.253.2918.  That is the campground office phone, and it is forwarded to either Lori's or Jack's cell phone when we are not here.  In case somebody calls for you, we will get you the information as soon as possible.

Check In/Out

Check in for camping can be any time.  Check in for cottages begins at 4:00 P.M.  If you think you will arrive earlier than that, please call ahead so that we can try to have your  cottage ready for you.

We ask that cottage guests check out by 12:00 to give us time to prepare the cottage for the next guests.  Camping guests are not required to check out unless they have stayed longer than originally planned.

Reservation deposits & Cancellation policy

Reservations for cottages should be made well in advance whenever possible.  That being said, we realize that is not always the case and will make every effort to accommodate you if we are able.  If we are not able to accommodate  you, we will try to help you find other lodging in the area.

Cabin availability can be checked and reservations can be made by telephone at 423.253.2918, online through our secure form at AvailabilityOnline, or by
email and will require a one-night deposit.  We accept credit and debit cards over the phone or through the online form.  Unfortunately, we are not able to accept American Express cards.

You can also mail a check or money order if you prefer.  Please send them to:
      Hunt's Lodge Motorcycle Campground
      ATTN: Reservations
      9555 Hwy. 68
      Tellico Plains, TN  37385

Reservations will be held without deposit for 10 business days.  At that time, if the deposit is not received, the cottage or site may be reserved by another individual who provides the necessary deposit if there are no other cottages or sites available that meet their needs.  In the event that this happens, the first customer will be notified that their reservation has been canceled.

We understand that plans are not carved in stone and that they change.  If you are not able to keep your reservation, please contact us to let us know.  Anyone needing to change their reservations will be able to either reschedule their visit or request a refund of their deposit at their discretion as long as they make arrangements prior to their arrival date.

People who notify us that they will not be able to make it more than 3 days in advance of their expected arrival date will receive a full refund.  Notification of 3 days or less will receive a 50% refund, and those who do not notify us will forfeit their deposit.

Campground Rules & Tennessee Laws concerning motorcyclists

We're pretty laid back, but we do ask that you:

  1. Be courteous to your fellow guests.  Most are friendly and do not bite.
  2. Keep campfires in the ring and DON'T throw trash in it.  We have a trash can right next to it for cans, bottles, and whatever else you may need to dispose of.
  3. Turn off the gas on the grill with you're done with it.  The gas will leak out if you don't.  Lori gets a wee bit hyper when she can't grill dinner.  If nothing else, do it for Jack's sake...
  4. Keep noise down after 11:00PM.  Some folks like to sleep every now & then.
  5. Keep your pet under control and clean up after him.  Also, please do not take him inside the buildings.
  6. Please do not smoke in the cabins or or shower house buildings.
  7. Consume adult beverages responsibly and discretely.  We haven't had the police called on us by the neighbors yet and we'd like to keep it that way.
  8. We know it is really really tempting, but please don't climb our hills and banks with your dual sport.  The grass has a hard time with that.
  9. Tennessee is a helmet law state.  All riders are required to wear helmets while traveling inside Tennessee state lines.

If what we have to offer is not what you are looking for, please check out these other local establishments.  The facilities listed here are all places that we have visited personally and feel comfortable about recommending to our own friends and family.  Even if you stay elsewhere, please stop in and visit us when you're in the area!  We always enjoy making new friends!
